TALENT STRIPS 2K14

This assignment blog is about Talent Strips. Talent strips is when we write about our talents on a strip. We have to write our name on one of the sides of the strip and explain our talent on the other. We got to present each talent on a different day in the front of the classroom of everyone. I was super nervous but now that I think of it, I really don't know why I was. We got three different colors to make sure we don't get mixed up. My talents that I used was Conscientious, it means doing one's job well or hoping the best for one. I also used taking charge, I like to charge in events because I know for myself I could get the job done on time. Another talent that I used was helping others, helping others is what I like to do. When I help others, I'm glad I gave them greater knowledge of the subject.

Highlight of this assignment was designing my name for the strips. It took awhile, I got feedback from my family which fonts I should do for my name since I don't know a lot of fonts. My dad actually drew it out and I traced it. It took a lot of time since it wasn't plain. I got to trace really cool effects for my name, but it took a long time for me to make it straight. I enjoyed my dad helping me since I take really long to draw a cool effect for my name.

Lesson learned to observe more. I had to ask people for feedback on my actions, those feedback was very beneficial. But I should observe myself and see how well I do and find my own talents. It's better for me to think what I think of myself so I should my opinion. But at the same time collecting "evidence" or feedback is good, because it's their opinion. It's good to collect information from different people.

If I were to change anything, it would how I explained my talents. In my opinion, I feel like I didn't speak my talents thoroughly enough. I would upgrade my vocabulary more since I'm not impressed with it. I would also practice speaking in front of everybody since I had trouble, it would improve how I am in front of people. It'll improve my self-confidence. I would always speak in front of everyone and be the first one, but I think having people who watch me closely makes me nervous on how I perform.
