Do not disturb : On

Been feeling really sad about how my life is, I wana change it but I have no way to, it's like I fell in a trapped door and I can't find a way out. I wana do so many things and I feel like my windows of opportunities has closed, I'm stuck and I have no motivation right now. I wish I had somebody to lend me a hand in life that would change my life forever. Overthinking kills. I just wana lay on my bed and cry about everything (just started crying yayy..). Sometimes I wish I had amnesia to forget about the littlest things. This blog is going to be different this week, I'm just gonna sum up of everything I learned for each subject in order from 1-6th period since I'm not in mood. For AVID, we copied down the revision checklist and annotated an article about animal experiments and write in our AJ of course and then we learned about Socratic seminar (discussion from the text). For math we learned about +/- fractions, and the number line of negative and positive numbers. For science we took our heart rate so we went outside to observe how our heart rate changes and we practiced graphing and creating a graph. For Social studies we copied down vocab words and the vocab definitions, and we did a fill-in-blanks comic worksheet that we did with a partner. For leadership we worked on our Zumba dance for next week Friday. For English we worked on our third draft and conclusion.

Highlight of my week would be going to a Punahou homecoming football game. I have a fond of football so I was pretty happy I got to watch the homecoming game. Punahou has the best homecoming games I heard and I believe they do. It's more exhilarating than watching any other schools' homecoming tbh. They burn a "P" at the end of the game and they do many stuff around it, I was just really annoyed with the rudest and immature kids at punahou, they kept shoving us and didn't have any manners like really bitches ? smh (sorry of my choice of bad language LOL it's the only word that describes them the best :) ) but other than that I enjoyed it very much, Especially with my closest friends.

Lesson learned would be move on and get over it. The past is the past so you shouldn't worry about it. Regrets happen everyday, it's your choice if you want to fix it or throw it over your shoulder. The people talking bad about you behind your back is behind you for a reason.

Cheana, smh

this week was interesting 🙆

On Monday, periods of the day were 3,5,1,& 4. First class was Science, Mrs. Akimoto. In science we took quizzes and then we took notes. Second class was Leadership, Mr. Ing. In leadership, my Period and I practiced our dance routine for a project we'll be doing. Third class was AVID, Mrs. Wert. In AVID we took a test on basic things of AVID, I didn't like that test cause I felt that that test had no meaning for us like it didn't provide education for us. Fourth class was CCLM, Ms. Liu (social studies teacher). In CCLM, we just worked together to fill in blanks to practice our vocabulary. On Tuesday, the periods of the day were 4,6,2, & 3. First class was Social studies, Ms. Liu. In social studies, we just drew our pictures to represent our foreign group. Second class was English, Ms. Carbonero. In English we just practiced writing an intro to our story. Third class was math, Mr. Barayuga. In math we learned how to find the greatest common factor and the lowest common multiple. Fourth class was CCLM, Mrs. Akimoto (science). In CCLM, we had to draw a picture following the directions to practice how well we can follow instructions. On Wednesday, the periods of the day were 5,1,3. First class was leadership, Mr. Ing. In leadership we practiced our dance routine again. Second class was AVID, Mrs. Wert. That day we had a substitute so we didn't do much but annotate an article we read. Third class was science, Mrs. Akimoto. In science, we did an experiemnt called the penny flipping, we made different trials on which side of the penny lands on the most. On Thursday, periods of the day were 6,2,4. First class was English, Ms. Carbonero. In English all we did was write in our springboard 1.9. Second class was math, Mr. Barayuga. In math we learned a new card trick from a guy who works at Piinaa (or something like that) and we played the game the whole time. Last class was social studies, Ms. Liu. For social studies, we took a test about the foreigners that came to hawaii.  On Friday, periods of the day were 1,3,5, & 2. In the morning we had an evacuation so we stayed outside at Ewa beach elementary for a long time. When we got to the first class, we only had a little time left so all we got for hw was to underline more of the article we read. Second class was science, in science we took notes about analyzing results. Third class was leadership, all my period did was play games while Jayde was sleeping LOL. In fourth class, it was CCLM and I had Mr. Barayuga. We played a really fun board game, me and my group won but I wasn't able to see the last round of my group because when it was my turn to write on the board, I ran and I tripped over the fan's cord and I slammed my face onto the desk then I fell and went underneath the table and the fan just collapsed onto my lap. My group was caring enough to take the fan off of me, I just shook the embarrasent off while Mr. Barayuga took me outside to see if I wasn't dizzy or anything. Then I went to the health room, so that day was really interesting LOLOL.

Highlight of my week would have to be going to the Ohana Fair at my old elementary school. I got to say hi to some of my favorite teachers, I also met up with old friends when I was in elementary. I was so glad to see them all, me and my friends made plenty memories.

Lesson learned would have to be, be careful. When I was playing the board game in CCLM, I wasn't watching where I was walking, all I wanted to do was write that number on the board. The most dangerous thing I did was slam my face onto the desk, the doctor said I might've fractured my cheek bone (I think that's what you call the bone ?). So that was a lesson for me to watch what I do no matter what the situation is, because I have to watch my safety in order to do the situation.

ayyye, the babeeee (ew my hair OMFG)

Another week of school went by

On Monday, periods of the day were 4,6,2,1. First class is Ms. Liu, Social Studies. For SS, we took notes on foreigners. Second class is Ms. Carbonero, English. For English, we did our second draft and talked about a time when an event changed us. Third class is Mr. Barayuga, math. For math, we reviewed addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division w/decimals for our upcoming test. Last class is CCLM, which is Mrs. Wert (AVID). For AVID we practiced levels of questioning. On Tuesday, periods of the day were 5,1,3,6. First class was leadership, Mr. Ing. For leadership, we didn't do much but chill with one another. Second class was AVID, Mrs. Wert. For AVID, we had to find "avid" buddies. Avid buddies are people who you can contact about what's happening in AVID if you missed anything. Next class was Science, Mrs. Akimoto. For science we learned and practiced independent variables and dependent variables. For CCLM was English, Ms. Carbonero. In CCLM, we learned about new transition words. On Wednesday, periods of the day were 6,2,4. First class is English, Ms. Carbonero. For English, we did peer reviews on our second drafts the whole time. In second class was Math, Mr. Barayuga. In math we did a decimal test that we all studied for, well hopefully everyone. Last class of the day was Social Studies, Ms. Liu. For Ms. Liu we finished up writing our notes for foreigners and then we filled in our matrix (I think that's what it's called).  On Thursday, periods of the day was 1,3,5. First class is AVID, Mrs. Wert. For AVID, we peer reviewed worksheets from other periods. In second class was Science, Mrs. Akimoto. In science, we practiced doing hypothesis. In the last class was leadership, Mr. Ing. For leadership, we worked on our dance routine. On Friday, periods of the day were 2,4,6,5. First class was Math, Mr. Barayuga. In math, we worked on rational numbers. We practiced and learned how to do division using rational numbers. Second class was Ms. Liu, social studies. We worked on our foreign matrix and we graded it. For third class, it was English, Ms. Carbonero. We continued our peer reviewing for our second draft and went through our SpringBoard I think. Last class is CCLM which was leadership, Mr. Ing. In leadership we did the marquee, we had to put our quote in and it was the fastest time we did the marquee.

Highlight of the week would have to be going to a football game with Emma and Cheana. When we first got there, we went straight to the pond that Emma's dad instructed us to go. We really enjoyed the pond, we got to feed the turtles and get pictures of it. When the game started, we went straight back. I realized I'm really into football games, I love football a lot. I watch football games of the 49ers with my family sometimes but I haven't went to a football game in person. It was my first time going to a football game, it was Punahou Vs. St. Francis. Punahou won of course, I was so excited to watch.

Lesson learned would have to be, to watch what you say. "Taste your words before you spit them out" - Tiana (me). This past week, I haven't been watching what I've been saying so it would hurt other people's feelings. My intentions wasn't suppose to hurt other people's because that's really rude but sometimes I don't watch what I say before I think about it.

≼ Video essay blog ≽

The recent project that the leadership students completed was called the Video essay. The video essay is a project created by a leadership person (of course) and they tell you about themselves. You put all the information onto the PowerPoint such as your address, phone number, interests, accomplishments/achievements, email(s), new idea for the whole school, what do you have to offer, a picture of yourself with your name on the side of it duhh, and of course your video about yourself. It's just like the PowerPoint that we made for our first interview, it's another way to get to know us. The first slide of the PowerPoint, it's starts off with a picture and on the side or somewhere on the same slide is your name (ex. Tiana Julian). The second slide is your email, address, interests, and at least two achievements. The third slide is "what I have to offer", you basically explain what character traits you need to commit to for leadership. The fourth slide is your new idea for ilima, my new idea was to have a drama club at our school so that kids can express their feelings. The fifth slide was where you put your video for your essay. In the video you had to create along with the PowerPoint, you had to talk about yourself.

The highlight of the assignment would have to be choosing my theme. I got to look through many themes that was interesting but I found it hard because I couldn't find one that described my interests. I had many frustrations with this project, my lowlights would have to be that my old (VERY OLD) computer kept freezing, I kept messing up in my video essay, and I stayed up until 4 in the morning. Other than that, I knew I had to focus and get it done as soon as possible. I never gave up, I wanted to but I motivated myself.

During this assignment, I learned to never give up. Everytime I have the eager to give up, I always motivate myself. When I'm tempted to give up, I always find ways to push myself to do the best I could. As the seconds, minutes, and hours went by, the only thing I was worried about was getting this project prepared for the morning. Despite the obstacles and challenges I faced during this project, I managed to turn it in on time.

If I had to redo this whole project, I would want to redo the video. My video was suppose to be edited but the video didn't render in the app I used, it was glitching so that was one of the obstacles I faced. Another thing I would want to redo is the fonts I used, it was the only font that was installed onto my old computer which sucked because I only had one selection. But overall, I would want to redo the PowerPoint source I used because it wasn't convenient.

On our own

This week, there was only 4 days of school and working individually. I had different jobs on different days. On Tuesday, my first job working individually was working the mixer (periods of the day are 6,2,4,1). The positive thing(s) about doing the mixer was that we got the intro working but the negative(s) was that Jenaya dropped the disc and she didn't center the last slide of the intro. First class is English, Ms. Carbonero. In English we read a personal narrative called "Bad boy", the story was about a writer's life how he was in the past and what inspired him to become a writer, then we got a head start on our own personal narrative. Second class is math, Mr. Barayuga. In math, we talked about how we did our graphing wrong in the manilla folders but I had nothing wrong so I was good, then we learned how to multiply numbers w/decimals. Third class is Social Studies, we started on our storybook and we got to work on it for awhile but I took a long time copying notes so I didn't really finish up my storybook that day. Fourth class is (CCLM) AVID, Mrs Wert. In AVID we turned in our reflection that we were assigned the last time we had period 1, then we worked on our philosophical question card. On Wednesday, my second job for working individually was music for morning and recess (periods of the day are 1,3,5). The positive thing about working music was that we said the announcements correctly and we were able to cover up the commercial ad but the negative things was that we weren't paying attention and a commercial ad played and Joylyn said soft announcements. During 1st period, it was AVID so we stamped our philosophical notecard and we formed a circle to practice oral speaking and to be confident when we speak. During 3rd period, it was Science. For science we went on the computers to look up websites to see if the websites are credible sources. During 5th period, it was leadership, we went to the Media Center to get new AR books and we read some of it too. On Thursday, my third job working individually was doing IDs (periods of the day are 2,4,6). The positive things was that we wrote the name on the envelope correctly and we were able to do everything correct and one negative thing was that I came later than I was suppose to. First class is math, Mr. Barayuga. In math we graphed our charts the correct way and we were timed then we learned about dividing decimals. Second class is Social studies, Ms. Liu. In SS, it was a work day so all we did was work on our storybook and if we finished then we could have the rest of our period as free time. Third class is English, Ms. Carbonero. In English the whole time we took our CFA test, I was really tired so I fell asleep for 10 seconds and to wake myself up I had to talk to the person next to me. On Friday, my 4th job working individually was TV and the negative thing was that we had technical difficulties and Jenaya didn't save the keynoteand the positive thing was that we made an intro on time and done correctly and we got the annoucnements out and I was teased that day so I didn't like that day (periods of the day are 3,5,1,2).First class is science, Mrs. Akimoto. The topic of science was "hypothesis" we learned how to write a correct hypothesis, hypothesis is an educated guess. We went to every table to write different a hypothesis. Second class is leadership, we transferred our video essay into our period 5 folder and fixed up anything that needed to be changed. Next period was AVID, Mrs. Wert. We turned in our reflections except me because I stayed up working on my leadership PowerPoint and video for my video essay, so I had to ask my parents to write a note. We watched a video called "Before I die.." It was really touching and it was the reason why there's a painting on my AVID classroom outside. Last class is CCLM which was math, Mr. Barayuga. We did a game that tested our skills on how we can use different math signs. We got in trouble because we talked over Ms. Lin and Mr. Barayuga yelled at us so we didn't finish the last round.

Highlight of the week would have to be going to a hotel with Cheana and Emma. We spent two days here and we went snorkeling most of the time. We saw so many different kinds of fishes that we haven't seen before (or maybe just me that seen unfamiliar fishes ?). I brought my fins so I was able to swim fine and not crash into rocks. We also took pictures underwater with the GoPro which was really cool.

Lesson learned would have to be not to be a procrastinator. Being a procrastinator in your work is not a good thing because you're doing things last minute. I done my PowerPoint for my video essay really late and it took me forever just to do it and I only had 1 hour of sleep since I had to get ready for school. I promised myself it'll never happen again, I regret doing my leadership project late because it took me forever.

Another week has past

***TURNING IN THIS BLOG LATE BECAUSE MY DAD DIDNT PAY THE PHONE BILL ON TIME*** This week was really fun and too bad it's almost over. On Monday, periods of the day were 1,3,5,6. First period is AVID , Mrs. Wert, we watched a video and had to write a reflection based on the video. We also did binder check, I got an A (9/9) because I had everything. Third period was science, Mrs. Akimoto. We learned objectives and subjectives that day, we had to answer the following questions and answer with "objective" or "subjective". Fifth period is leadership, Mr. Ing. In leadership we worked on our powerpoints for a new project we'll be turning in shortly. It took me awhile to find  a background cause I don't really have that much interests. Last period is Ms. Carbonero, English. In English, it was CCLM so we didn't learn anything. We were highlighting some important papers that will help us in the future. On Tuesday, periods of the day were 2,4,6,& 5. First period of the day was math, Mr. Barayuga. We were put into three groups (alpha, beta , omega) I was an alpha. Anyways, the alphas had to help the betas correct minor problems they got wrong on their exit tickets and level ups. Second period of the day was social studies, Ms. Liu. We were sequencing our paragraphs in order about unification and we still took notes. That took up the whole period. Next period is English, Ms. Carbonero. In English we took a test on Achieve3000, she said that we didn't know about it until now but I knew about this test and I was familiar with it. After I was done, I went on this website called free rice (freerice.com). Every single question you get right, you donate 10 grains of rice to those who need it. Next period was five, leadership : Mr. Ing. This period was really fun, we had free time so period 5 (aka period 21) went on computers and took pictures altogether. Then me and Deriecka got to put up posters around campus about Welcome Social. On Wednesday, it was odd periods so 3,5,1. First period was Science, Mrs. Akimoto. We took notes on "question or problem". When we have something that catches our interests, we make a question. Next period of five, leadership : Mr. Ing. I think me and Jayde finished up putting the people who signed the form for welcome social onto the computer. Then we went to the printer room to copy more of the welcome social forms, the others were putting stuff on the bulletin board. Next period was one, AVID : Mrs. Wert (CCLM). We turned in our fireflies reflection and we graded other people's papers. The other reflection that she assigned us was to write about social studies. Then we played a crossword game thingy and it was hard, I didn't understand it at first but now I kinda do. On Thursday, periods are even so 4,6,2. First period is social studies, Ms. Liu. We took a CFA test and the unification quiz. Then i got to copy some notes I was missing previously. Next period was six, English : Ms. Carbonero. We went into our springboard 1.6. We didn't do much, all we did was read a passage then underline what was figurative language and i forgot the other thing we were highlighting for. Next period was 2, math : Mr.Barayuga. It was CCLM but we practice skills of addition and subtraction using decimals. We were rotating so I had Ms. Lin first then I had to work independently then I went to Mr.Barayuga. I really like math, it's always been my favorite subject since 6th grade and now that I'm getting math homework   It feels really good to do all of that. On Friday, period of that day was 5,1,3,4. I had leadership first so we were preparing for Welcome Social. Me and Jayde finished up signing off people's name so that they can go to welcome social. Then we made posters so that everyone knows what to do over there. Next period was AVID : Mrs. Wert. We turned in our social studies reflections, we didn't grade them though. We all had to put our binders in a spot she told us to put it and she would grade them by herself. Then we took our CFA test, it was about animal observations. Next period, was science : Mrs. Akimoto. We took our test on objective and subjective. It took me about 5 minutes ? To finsih the test. Then we took notes on background information about creditable sources.

Highlight of my week would have to be going to Wet n' Wild with Cheana. We went on marjority of the rides, but I really liked the tornado. We brought Haley's gopro which Cheana knew more, so we got take videos underwater. I saw a lot of familiar faces there ! Like the counselor at Holomua ! And some people I knew like my friend's family. We were suppose to hang out today (Sunday) but plans got cancelled -.-

I learned that things happen for a reason. Life has various of choices but you could only pick one. The path you choose for yourself is the path you will follow and sometimes that path you take isn't good or sometimes it is good. Your actions effect your future, so be wise of what you do. There's challenges in life that will occur and sometimes it'll occur again. Obstacles is another thing that life holds for you, an example would be time. Time is an obstacle because you have to do certain things and stay on task. So whatever happens, happens.

3rd week of school, I think ?

Leadership reunionnnnnnn
Another week has past and I'm still feeling lazy. On Monday, periods of that day was 2, 4, 6, 3. It was my first week working at IDs, period 5 would have to take turns working since our group has 5 people in it. It wasn't that bad working IDs, little but of people came but I think the fun part about it was showing the new people around. In period 2, we got multiplication homework. Multiplication is really easy to me, I just got kinda sleepy doing the last question on my ET so I got it wrong. In 4th period which was Ms. Liu, we turned in our Piapa project and had to pronounce it correctly to her. I got 20/25 because I didn't put my English words next to the Hawaiian word but she gave it back to me so I could get full credit. I have to fix so many things in social studies ugh, I'll fix it on Monday. But anyways, social studies was kinda boring I wanted to go sleep because we weren't doing anything interesting. In 6th period, I had English which is Ms. Carbonero and Ms. Ballou. I think we read 1.4 activity, and we had to paraphrase a sentence. After that we were just reading things on the PowerPoint. My English teacher mentioned about the Embedded assessment 1 and I'm slowly understanding it. In period 3, it was the last period so we did really fun stuff ! I really like my science teacher. We got to play Simon says and do a worksheets to test how good we are at following and listening to directions/instructions. For Simon says, I was one of the last people playing and I did something wrong ugh so I got eliminated from the game. I really like my table, Journee , Kumu, and JC  are mellow and they're so polite. But I did the one of the worksheets wrong on accident, she rushed me so I had to do all of the questions all at once and I did it wrong by not reading all of the questions. But that anyways that day ended. On Tuesday, periods of the day was 3, 5, 1, & 2. Still worked at IDs and i think I worked double that day. In period 3, It was science. I'm not really sure what I did that day but I think we went over on how to write in the Table of Contents and do the Cause and Effect map. We had to write about our goals for 1st quarter and how we wana accomplish it. I wrote about getting good grades for science as my goal. Damn, I gotta take notes on what I did in school cos I struggiling right now. That was random LOL and I think I spelt struggiling correct ? Anyways. In period 5, we had leadership so went to the cafe so that Mr. Ing can go over what we have to do for Wednesday & Thursday. After that, we had to get our AR books but before that some of us had to take our AR reading test and I was one of them. My GE is 4.1 and ZP is 4.1-6.1 so I had to get a book between those numbers. I just sat there in my period, I was tryna entertain myself since I got free time. Next period was AVID (1), we had to make sure our binder was ready for a binder check. I was ready and everything, then we had to write about our own opinion of "ilima student" if we should wear uniforms or naw. My choice was that students should require uniforms daily because of bullying problems and etc. next period was 2, it was CCLM so we got to do barely anything. We talked about the math standards again. On Wednesday, periods of the day was 4,6, & 2. First period was Social studies, we went over the history of Kamehameha and unification. We took notes and discussed a little since the bell rang. Next period was 6, I had to work for picture taking. It was pretty fast at picture taking, I expected it to be kinda crowded I guess. But within the time left, I went to my class. I had to do my work for homework since I didn't have time to do it in the period. Then in period 2 was CCLM again. We got to take our star math test. I didn't get to finish but I was almost done and I'm pretty happy that I got period 2 for CCLM twice because I got to turn in my math hw later. On Thursday, periods of the day were odd so it was 5, 1, & 3. First period was leadership so we had to work picture taking again, it was sort of short than I expected it to be like Wednesday except it was little longer. Next period was AVID, we did a scavenger hunt with our table group. She got kinda mad since we didn't plan out our "hunt" effectively. We only found a little things since it was only 3 people in our group. But I don't think we did writing that day. Next period was 3, it was science so I was pretty stoked that it was period 3. We took notes on how to be safe in the science lab. The song was catchy but it went by fast. Then we did a little science project. We had to make foil boats and see how much pennies it can hold, I think we were the ones who made boats that carried the most since I was familiar with this project. After we cleaned up and packed up. On Friday, periods of that day was 6, 2, 4, & 1. It was last day of working IDs. In period 6, it was English so we had to write short summaries of the story we read about. Then we discussed about it. I got really tired in there cos we did completely nothing after tbh. In period 2, we had math. We got new hw, it was division, I kinda forgot how to do division but I figured it out and I'm still good at it. Same routine like every math class I had except different hw. Period 4 was next, we finished taking notes on Kamehameha and the unification. It took a long time writing notes, my hand really hurt but that's all we did the whole period. After that, I met up with Cheana after because our periods were near each other. In period 1, I had avid again. We did another scavenger hunt, it was more difficult than the other one we took. Plus the boy I sit in front of, he's too hyper to the point where I wana slap the eff out of him. Then we had free time so we played "would you rather...?" And that was fun.

Highlight of my week would have to be going snorkeling with Cheana and Emma. We were supposed to go Hanauama bay but plans got changed since Cheana's sister didn't wana go since there was traffic so we went to Ko'olina for the benefit of the niece. It was fun but I forgot my stupid fins/flippers so I struggled. Then we went back to Cheana's house and slept over Emma's house right now.

The lesson I learned is to always be humble and to be positive. I haven't been being positive lately since I'm struggiling in school, the expectations in middle school is like over my head. So I'm trying to be anti-negative LOL. I've noticed I've been getting stressed over the stupid little things, my mom even told me that i look stress cos of my acne -.- I guess when you get stressed out acne appears. But yeah, leave the negativity behind and always be the "bubbly" type of person.

Today (((((:
