Another week has past

***TURNING IN THIS BLOG LATE BECAUSE MY DAD DIDNT PAY THE PHONE BILL ON TIME*** This week was really fun and too bad it's almost over. On Monday, periods of the day were 1,3,5,6. First period is AVID , Mrs. Wert, we watched a video and had to write a reflection based on the video. We also did binder check, I got an A (9/9) because I had everything. Third period was science, Mrs. Akimoto. We learned objectives and subjectives that day, we had to answer the following questions and answer with "objective" or "subjective". Fifth period is leadership, Mr. Ing. In leadership we worked on our powerpoints for a new project we'll be turning in shortly. It took me awhile to find  a background cause I don't really have that much interests. Last period is Ms. Carbonero, English. In English, it was CCLM so we didn't learn anything. We were highlighting some important papers that will help us in the future. On Tuesday, periods of the day were 2,4,6,& 5. First period of the day was math, Mr. Barayuga. We were put into three groups (alpha, beta , omega) I was an alpha. Anyways, the alphas had to help the betas correct minor problems they got wrong on their exit tickets and level ups. Second period of the day was social studies, Ms. Liu. We were sequencing our paragraphs in order about unification and we still took notes. That took up the whole period. Next period is English, Ms. Carbonero. In English we took a test on Achieve3000, she said that we didn't know about it until now but I knew about this test and I was familiar with it. After I was done, I went on this website called free rice (freerice.com). Every single question you get right, you donate 10 grains of rice to those who need it. Next period was five, leadership : Mr. Ing. This period was really fun, we had free time so period 5 (aka period 21) went on computers and took pictures altogether. Then me and Deriecka got to put up posters around campus about Welcome Social. On Wednesday, it was odd periods so 3,5,1. First period was Science, Mrs. Akimoto. We took notes on "question or problem". When we have something that catches our interests, we make a question. Next period of five, leadership : Mr. Ing. I think me and Jayde finished up putting the people who signed the form for welcome social onto the computer. Then we went to the printer room to copy more of the welcome social forms, the others were putting stuff on the bulletin board. Next period was one, AVID : Mrs. Wert (CCLM). We turned in our fireflies reflection and we graded other people's papers. The other reflection that she assigned us was to write about social studies. Then we played a crossword game thingy and it was hard, I didn't understand it at first but now I kinda do. On Thursday, periods are even so 4,6,2. First period is social studies, Ms. Liu. We took a CFA test and the unification quiz. Then i got to copy some notes I was missing previously. Next period was six, English : Ms. Carbonero. We went into our springboard 1.6. We didn't do much, all we did was read a passage then underline what was figurative language and i forgot the other thing we were highlighting for. Next period was 2, math : Mr.Barayuga. It was CCLM but we practice skills of addition and subtraction using decimals. We were rotating so I had Ms. Lin first then I had to work independently then I went to Mr.Barayuga. I really like math, it's always been my favorite subject since 6th grade and now that I'm getting math homework   It feels really good to do all of that. On Friday, period of that day was 5,1,3,4. I had leadership first so we were preparing for Welcome Social. Me and Jayde finished up signing off people's name so that they can go to welcome social. Then we made posters so that everyone knows what to do over there. Next period was AVID : Mrs. Wert. We turned in our social studies reflections, we didn't grade them though. We all had to put our binders in a spot she told us to put it and she would grade them by herself. Then we took our CFA test, it was about animal observations. Next period, was science : Mrs. Akimoto. We took our test on objective and subjective. It took me about 5 minutes ? To finsih the test. Then we took notes on background information about creditable sources. 

Highlight of my week would have to be going to Wet n' Wild with Cheana. We went on marjority of the rides, but I really liked the tornado. We brought Haley's gopro which Cheana knew more, so we got take videos underwater. I saw a lot of familiar faces there ! Like the counselor at Holomua ! And some people I knew like my friend's family. We were suppose to hang out today (Sunday) but plans got cancelled -.-

I learned that things happen for a reason. Life has various of choices but you could only pick one. The path you choose for yourself is the path you will follow and sometimes that path you take isn't good or sometimes it is good. Your actions effect your future, so be wise of what you do. There's challenges in life that will occur and sometimes it'll occur again. Obstacles is another thing that life holds for you, an example would be time. Time is an obstacle because you have to do certain things and stay on task. So whatever happens, happens. 

3rd week of school, I think ?

Leadership reunionnnnnnn

Another week has past and I'm still feeling lazy. On Monday, periods of that day was 2, 4, 6, 3. It was my first week working at IDs, period 5 would have to take turns working since our group has 5 people in it. It wasn't that bad working IDs, little but of people came but I think the fun part about it was showing the new people around. In period 2, we got multiplication homework. Multiplication is really easy to me, I just got kinda sleepy doing the last question on my ET so I got it wrong. In 4th period which was Ms. Liu, we turned in our Piapa project and had to pronounce it correctly to her. I got 20/25 because I didn't put my English words next to the Hawaiian word but she gave it back to me so I could get full credit. I have to fix so many things in social studies ugh, I'll fix it on Monday. But anyways, social studies was kinda boring I wanted to go sleep because we weren't doing anything interesting. In 6th period, I had English which is Ms. Carbonero and Ms. Ballou. I think we read 1.4 activity, and we had to paraphrase a sentence. After that we were just reading things on the PowerPoint. My English teacher mentioned about the Embedded assessment 1 and I'm slowly understanding it. In period 3, it was the last period so we did really fun stuff ! I really like my science teacher. We got to play Simon says and do a worksheets to test how good we are at following and listening to directions/instructions. For Simon says, I was one of the last people playing and I did something wrong ugh so I got eliminated from the game. I really like my table, Journee , Kumu, and JC  are mellow and they're so polite. But I did the one of the worksheets wrong on accident, she rushed me so I had to do all of the questions all at once and I did it wrong by not reading all of the questions. But that anyways that day ended. On Tuesday, periods of the day was 3, 5, 1, & 2. Still worked at IDs and i think I worked double that day. In period 3, It was science. I'm not really sure what I did that day but I think we went over on how to write in the Table of Contents and do the Cause and Effect map. We had to write about our goals for 1st quarter and how we wana accomplish it. I wrote about getting good grades for science as my goal. Damn, I gotta take notes on what I did in school cos I struggiling right now. That was random LOL and I think I spelt struggiling correct ? Anyways. In period 5, we had leadership so went to the cafe so that Mr. Ing can go over what we have to do for Wednesday & Thursday. After that, we had to get our AR books but before that some of us had to take our AR reading test and I was one of them. My GE is 4.1 and ZP is 4.1-6.1 so I had to get a book between those numbers. I just sat there in my period, I was tryna entertain myself since I got free time. Next period was AVID (1), we had to make sure our binder was ready for a binder check. I was ready and everything, then we had to write about our own opinion of "ilima student" if we should wear uniforms or naw. My choice was that students should require uniforms daily because of bullying problems and etc. next period was 2, it was CCLM so we got to do barely anything. We talked about the math standards again. On Wednesday, periods of the day was 4,6, & 2. First period was Social studies, we went over the history of Kamehameha and unification. We took notes and discussed a little since the bell rang. Next period was 6, I had to work for picture taking. It was pretty fast at picture taking, I expected it to be kinda crowded I guess. But within the time left, I went to my class. I had to do my work for homework since I didn't have time to do it in the period. Then in period 2 was CCLM again. We got to take our star math test. I didn't get to finish but I was almost done and I'm pretty happy that I got period 2 for CCLM twice because I got to turn in my math hw later. On Thursday, periods of the day were odd so it was 5, 1, & 3. First period was leadership so we had to work picture taking again, it was sort of short than I expected it to be like Wednesday except it was little longer. Next period was AVID, we did a scavenger hunt with our table group. She got kinda mad since we didn't plan out our "hunt" effectively. We only found a little things since it was only 3 people in our group. But I don't think we did writing that day. Next period was 3, it was science so I was pretty stoked that it was period 3. We took notes on how to be safe in the science lab. The song was catchy but it went by fast. Then we did a little science project. We had to make foil boats and see how much pennies it can hold, I think we were the ones who made boats that carried the most since I was familiar with this project. After we cleaned up and packed up. On Friday, periods of that day was 6, 2, 4, & 1. It was last day of working IDs. In period 6, it was English so we had to write short summaries of the story we read about. Then we discussed about it. I got really tired in there cos we did completely nothing after tbh. In period 2, we had math. We got new hw, it was division, I kinda forgot how to do division but I figured it out and I'm still good at it. Same routine like every math class I had except different hw. Period 4 was next, we finished taking notes on Kamehameha and the unification. It took a long time writing notes, my hand really hurt but that's all we did the whole period. After that, I met up with Cheana after because our periods were near each other. In period 1, I had avid again. We did another scavenger hunt, it was more difficult than the other one we took. Plus the boy I sit in front of, he's too hyper to the point where I wana slap the eff out of him. Then we had free time so we played "would you rather...?" And that was fun. 

Highlight of my week would have to be going snorkeling with Cheana and Emma. We were supposed to go Hanauama bay but plans got changed since Cheana's sister didn't wana go since there was traffic so we went to Ko'olina for the benefit of the niece. It was fun but I forgot my stupid fins/flippers so I struggled. Then we went back to Cheana's house and slept over Emma's house right now. 

The lesson I learned is to always be humble and to be positive. I haven't been being positive lately since I'm struggiling in school, the expectations in middle school is like over my head. So I'm trying to be anti-negative LOL. I've noticed I've been getting stressed over the stupid little things, my mom even told me that i look stress cos of my acne -.- I guess when you get stressed out acne appears. But yeah, leave the negativity behind and always be the "bubbly" type of person.

Assignment blog

For this assignment blog, I'll be explaining my bio cube. My bio cube is a project to basically tell who I am and what I'm all about. We created this project to get to know another instead of being strangers to each other and to test our creativity and how we do with projects. There's six sides, significance, obstacle, background, personality, picture of ourselves, and quotation. We shared 4 or 3 in class and then we shared the rest outside of the classroom, the cafe on the stage inside and the stage outside of the cafe. We shared it in different places because we have to practice how to speak in front of people. To construct my bio cube, I used construction paper, the cutting board, scissors, & lastly printed writing. It took me about at least 2-3 hours to finish my bio cube. It's a good thing we make a bio cube every school year so that we can improve the year after, I really don't mind doing projects like the bio cube, I'm looking forward to another project like this. 

Highlight of this activity was learning new things about a different person. Throughout the days I been in leadership, I got to meet new people and find out interesting things about others that I had no clue about. All of us went from strangers to friends. This activity inspired me to be more outgoing than I am with people and make new friends rather than isolate yourself from people. This project is like a strategy how to meet people and what you should say. I can change to make it better by adding more to each side and be more specific with my words in my writing and glue the construction paper on neatly. 

The lesson I learned constructing the bio cube and sharing it was that everyone is more original than you think they are. Everyone has different styles and every person is unique in every way. People have different personalities than you or maybe the same if it's a councidence. Each person has an important trait out of all the traits they have that shows who they are everyday. Not everyone is the same, people have different opinions. 

Glo 1: I was a self directed learner because I was able to finish my work by myself and be independent 

Glo 2: I was a community contributor because when it came to working with a group, I participated in everything. 

Glo 3: I was a complex thinker because when a problem appeared, I was able to fix it.

Glo 4: I was able to produce quality work because when I had homework or anything, I doubled check everything was in place and done neatly. 

Glo 5: I was able to communicate clearly when I shared any projects/work by speaking specifically for the other person to hear me.

Glo 6: I was an effective and ethical user of technology because I was able to work the technology that was given to me to work on, I made sure I was doing everything right on the technology like printing out my writing for my bio cube

I used three voices while sharing my bio cube, at the cafe, inside the classroom, and outside. In the classroom, it was easier for your leadership classmates to hear you because their closer to you. In the cafe, we had to stand on the stage and speak loud enough for everyone to hear you on the other side, you had to speak clearly and project your voice loud enough for the others to hear you. It was way different than the classroom voice for sure. Speaking outside would have to be one of the hardest voices you would have to control, any sounds that Is overlapping your voice, you have to dominate that/those sound(s) in order for others to hear your message. The classroom was the easiest, the cafe was the middle, and outside was the hardest voice. We would have to know which voice to use in a situation we're in so that others can understand us. 

second week of school

On Monday, I had to work for the CCTV. Cheana was going on TV, so I was trying to prepare myself for Tuesday since I was going on the day after. That day was periods 4, 6, 2, 5. I didn't like my first class cause it was Ms. Liu -.- she's small kine strict but she's like a vibe killer. My second period was Mrs. Carbonero, she's chill, she's a typical teacher. Mrs. Carbonero is my English teacher, when I looked into my SpringBoard, there was so many different words I didn't know about like "gerund". Next was my math teacher, Mr. Barayuga, he's my favorite teacher out of SS, SCI, & ENG. I don't really remember what I did on Monday for math but I think we learned more 'attention grabbers'. And for period 5, we were suppose to share our bio cube but instead we had to change the marquee. I was scared to go up on the ladder so I only took off the letters one time. On Tuesday, I went on TV with Cheana. I got so nervous I forgot some of the things to say ! I felt like I was ready but I wasn't. I just need to practice more. Periods of that day was 5, 1, 3, 4. I had leadership my first class so I was fine, I don't mind being in A101, I really like it than all my other classes. wow, I'm so tired right now LOL this is random. But let me continue, in period 1 was my Avid class, Mrs. Wert. My avid teacher is one of my favorite teachers I would say, she's not so bad after all. Some people told me that she's strict and all but to me she's not, I had to get my composition book that day but I forgot. In 3rd period was my science teacher, Mrs. Akimoto, she's short. We had to work on our name tag thing, I didn't write on it cos I was practicing on folder paper first because I don't want to erase too much. I had to leave a little early before 3rd period ended because I had lunch music with Jayde. I didn't get to finish it but it was okay. 4th period of the day was Ms. Liu. We had to practice pronouncing Hawaiian letters, "Hakalama". It wasn't that hard to pronounce to be honest. I keep putting commas in my sentences. Anyways, that day ended. On Wednesday, we got to get out early @1:41 so that was a relief. That day's periods were 6,2,4, it was even. My first class was English, we were suppose to start our star reading test for AR but it was blocked so we didn't have enough time. My second class was math, we started on our new homework. It was subtraction, it's really easy so I had no problem with that. My last class that day was SS again -.- I'm starting to get sick of Ms. Liu and it's only been the second week of school ! ugh. We had to make a drawing with Hawaiian words going straight down and we have to say them ! I wasn't that worried because I like going in front of the class and speaking. On Thursday, I was so happy that day cause there was no school on Friday (: and the periods were odd that day. I had avid, I forgot to bring a composition book (said it already) so I had to write on folder paper. We had to write our own opinion about uniforms, it was pretty easy because I wrote about uniforms a lot in 6th grade so I knew my decision if uniforms should be allowed In schools. Next period was science, I tried finishing up my name tag thingy but not yet since I just started writing/drawing. Last period was leadership, we had to share the rest of our bio cubes. We went to two places, the cafe and on the stage outside. We had to share in those placed because we needed to practice our volume. Anyways I'm done and sorry for posting a little later, I was dealing with a private problem.

Highlight of my week would have to be going fishing with Cheana and Emma again. We saw Mr. Ing there, he was on the other side of the spot we were in. We were mostly on the beach, we didn't catch that must stuff, I think that was a sucky fishing day tbh cause we all at least caught one fish ! But still had a good time.

I learned to always handle things different. We should all watch our words because it can hurt another person feelings or make a person feel some type of way. People try to solve things way bad when they shouldn't , everyone has choices not just one.

Survived the first week of school

Wow, this week went pretty fast, I really like my teachers too so I hate to see this week go by fast. Anyways I'll tell you what happened this week. On Monday, it was the first day for 7th graders. I had to work to give people their student verification. Everyone had a job, but there was only one schedule binder and student verification binder and I came a little later than the others so my partner that helps me was Deriecka so she just took over for that. I was really nervous for the first day of school, I actually had a small kine anxiety attack because I worried about the stupid little things. I visited all my 6 classes I had and if I had to say my least favorite teacher, it would be Ms. Liu, my social studies teacher. Ms. Liu basically would give us detention for every small thing we'll do, hopefully I won't get in trouble by her. But yeah, that day went quick I guess. On Tuesday, it was the first day of 8th grade. It was way noisy than 7th grade's first day I know that for sure, we were less busy on that day I guess since it's 8th grade. I saw a few people I knew so it was nice seeing them finally. On Wednesday, it was the day when both grades would finally be together. It was like another regular day at school but with more kids there than I expected it to look like. Wednesday's periods were odd I think, so I had Mrs. Wert, Mrs. Akimoto, and leadership which was Mr. Ing. I had cafe duty that day because I didn't get to on Tuesday so I had to work for one of the group leaders since they worked two times the past two days at cafe. I didn't like cafe, it was alright but ehh I guess. We had after school sales for the first time of the school year, barely people bought anything, it was mostly 8th graders. On Thursday, periods were even. I had Mr. Barayuga, Ms. Liu, and Ms. Carbonero. I liked only first class because it was Mr. Barayuga. I really really really like my math teacher, he's hella fun so I'm glad I'll have him for two school years. I had cafe that day, and I had to wear the hair net ! That was torture for me ! *cries* a boy I knew teased me for wearing it but I had to -.- ugh I'm glad I'm done with cafe. And I had lunch music, so I had to rush back and forth from the cafe to A101 because I had to check if Jayde was there so that I could give her the Ipod. On Friday, there was no school so ayeeeee but we didn't have school because of the hurricane so it wasn't really a "day off" I guess.

Highlight of my week would have to be the first day of 7th grade. My first day was overwhelming but I managed to not faint. It was a new beginning for me because it my first day of intermediate, so I had to say goodbye to elementary and hello intermediate. I tried talking to other people was it was kind of hard because I never really made friends with people in a long time, it's not like kindergarten where you just straight up ask "do you wana be my friend ?". But I did enjoy my first day, I can't wait to experience new things.

I learned to be open for new things rather than isolate yourself. Entering 7th grade, I was really quiet, I basically isolated myself from people I didn't know instead of talking to them. On Wednesday when everyone was together, I started talking to a few people I didn't know, I even complimented someone. Wednesday, we got to interfere with new people so I opened myself up for new challenges and new experiences.

Last week of leadership workdays

Sorry for posting on a Sunday, I didn't have my phone with me for awhile because I was at my sister's house and the internet wasn't working. But anywaysss, on Monday it was a regular day. My shift was at 12-2 but I came at 8 in the morning because I didn't have a ride and Cheana was generous to pick me up. Since I was waiting for my shift to start, I think me and Cheana were playing hockey ? But yeah, we designed it ourselves. Cheana used construction paper for the goalies and the hockey stick was made out of lollipop sticks. The puck was the name tag hole puncher circle thing. We started playing when everything was set up, it was intense LOLOL. But my shift was about to start so I had a choice to give the form to the parents or work the IDs, I was working to give the forms to the parents but then I switched to IDs. The planners finally came in ! Which was a relief. The first person to take the planner was Sierra, she's one of my elementary friends. We had to take all of the planner boxes and put it in order -.- but I guess it wasn't that hard. On Tuesday, Mr. Ing told us that he'll prep us on Wednesday for Thursday. Tuesday was a regular day, all we did was give the form to the parents and of course give them their schedule and student verification and take their IDs. But I think me and Cheana continued our hockey game LOL which was the fun part of that day. On Wednesday, we had to be there by 10 and turn in our field trip form so that we can go on Thursday. Our group leaders had to make sure that we did our blogs and we're following everyone which I was. But yeah, it was a regular workday. On Thursday, I really liked this day out of the leadership workdays. We got to go to Ala Moana Regional Park. We all brought our own snacks for everyone, the food was pretty good. That day was pretty long, and I finally got to go somewhere with my friends. 

Highlight of my week would have to be Thursday. It's Thursday because we went somewhere where everyone can have fun with eachother. Going to the field trip, I think we all needed that so that we can bond altogether. I really loved that day. Hopefully we can do more of that altogether.

I learned to watch what you say because every word that comes out of your mouth, at least has a meaning to it. Words can hurt and some can make a person feel so happy. You should taste your words before you spit them out because you might regret whatever you say. You shouldn't surround another person with negative vibes if that person surrounded you with positive vibes.

Another leadership week has past and summer is almost ending. On Monday, we were preparing for Tuesday which was schedule pick-up day. My job was to give people their schedules. We had to set up everything for Tuesday and that day was super hot which was frustrating to work in the heat. That day was short but it seemed long. On Tuesday, it was schedule pick-up day. I had to wait for Cheana to give me her pants so that I can wear it, when she came I had to put it on fast. Everyone in leadership, well almost everyone had to go in front of me so that I could change. I struggled putting the pants on because my shoe got stuck and I had a hard time buttoning it ! LOL but I managed to put it on. We got to wear the yellow leadership shirts finally, I've been wanting to wear one. Anyways, I had to change jobs because we needed people to adjust the camera so I was chosen to be one of them. It was super busy that day, the line didn't get shorter until everyone was almost gone ! I was so tired that day. I saw some people I knew which was nice because I haven't seen them in a long time since I graduated. After we finished, we had lunch. We got to eat pizza, there was salad but I didn't get any. After that, we just left. On Wednesday, we still had to help people. All we did was ask people to fill out one of the receipts so that the student can take their ID and get their schedule. My first shift was 12-2, it went by quick. On Thursday, I didn't go to leadership because I had to watch my little brother and I was busy. On Friday, it was just like Wednesday except my shift was shorter that day and I decided to stay the whole day. I got to help organize the paid dues worksheet, there was so many students. It took me at least 1-2 1/2 hours to organize the papers ! After that I just waited for Cheana to count the money of the uniform money and lunch payments. 

Highlight of my week would have to be going fishing with Cheana. On Monday and Thursday we went fishing together and on Thursday her uncle and cousin came along. We saw a huge fish surface the water, I still couldn't believe me and Cheana witnessed it. I had really fun with them, I never been fishing in so long and to spend it with Cheana was really fun. Hopefully I'll go fishing with Cheana more.

I learned that you shouldn't surround yourself with negative vibes. Life is to short to be arguing/fighting with people. It's better to get along with people rather than have any "enemies". People may be different from you but that doesn't mean you should treat them differently than others. The more you surround yourself with good vibes, the more life would look with happiness around you.
