burnt and sore

omg okay so like I came back from camping at 2:45 ? And I fell asleep after, I'm hurting so much and I'm so so so sore. I feel like I'm peeling but I'm not, and I have rashes on my stomach, and my two arms in the same spot. My eyes are still red, ugh shoot me. Anywayss I'll talk more about this in my highlight. Periods of Monday are 2,4,6, &5. There was a holiday On Tuesday so no more periods, Periods of Wednesday are 3,5,&1. Periods of Thursday are 4,6,2. Periods of Friday are 5,1,&3. On Friday, me and the majority of the leadership family were working for ISA so we missed the first 3 periods. For period 1 we just worked on tutorials. For period 2, we worked on unit rates and proportional relationships. For period 3 we worked on the cells. For period 4, we worked on our rough draft and peer editing for our immigrant group. For period 5, we mostly had study hall. For period 6, we had springboard the past days. That was my weeeek, and I'm weak from it LOL okay.

Highlight of the week would be going camping with Cheana, we went on Friday to Sunday. We left Nimitz at 1:30 ? And went to grab something to eat. I really had fun, we made s'mores and went white plains. When me and Cheana were at white plains, we went out bodyboarding and Cheana surfed. We saw familiar faces like how I saw Bryan from English LOL, he can surf and then we saw Alesia them. The bathrooms was my least favorite thing over there, ugh. There was no showers inside the building so we showered outside in our bathing suits. I'm so dark now, I probs look like Laila now omg no.

Lesson learned would be, be careful what choices you do cause they affect your outcome in life. You don't wana live with regrets but then again, you might but it may be minor so nothing major. It depends how you react to things and how you deal with them, can you handle it or you can't, this is when you sorta find out your weaknesses and strengths in life.

crazay weeko

wowowowow this week went pretty fast and crazy at the same time. periods of the day on Monday was 3,5,1,2. Periods of Tuesday was 4,5,2,1. Periods of Wednesday was 5,1,3. Periods of the day on thirstyday was 6,2,4. Periods of the day on Fries-day was 1,3,5,6. I'll sum up what I did this whole week. during AVID, we did trf (tutorial request form), we learned about tutorials and we wrote a reflection reviewing what we did (btw, Mrs. Wert I h8 u for not giving me extra credit bish). In 2nd period, we learned about the process of multiplying and dividing fractions for math. In 3rd period was science, all we did was learn about parts of the two types of cells, animal and plant cell and what they're used for and etc. in 4th period for social studies, we Ms. Liu was gone for a few days so we learned about back then about "picture" brides and we researched on our immigrant group (ugh kms). In 5th period which was leadership, we just finished up what we needed to finish up and we taught the nubes (the boys) what to do. In 6th period which was ELA, we did critical reading and watched a movie for Halloween and we did the basics of English.

Highlight of my week would be going to the carnival w/ chea, emz, and Tay. The leadership peeps, we were there for at least 2 hours ? And it was interesting, we ran into some familiar faces over there, and some strangers who randomly took pictures with us. I was so dizzy from one of the rides I wanted to pass out bruuh.

Lesson learned would be to learn from your mistakes and make a good comeback. Everybody isn't perfect, everybody makes mistakes. You learn from it and you show it to others that you're not the same person than you were before. We get mature each day but you can't see it. And cherish moments while they last, you never know if it might be your last laugh w/them.

Retreat 2014 ((((:

Recently my leadership family and I went on a retreat for 3 days during school days. No technology was allowed so we turned in our phones on the way in the bus, I couldn't believe I went 3 days without social media ! omgomg. The retreat was suppose to be on fall break so that we wouldn't have any worries catching up on school work but it was taken. We weren't actually going to go but mr. Ing decided that we should so thank you Mr. Ing ! It was such a great experience. At retreat all we did was group reviews, strengths & weaknesses, quarter plannings, and we did breakouts. I believe the retreat was so prepare us for the year and for us to bond with each other. We had a good amount of free time to enjoy the stay so I really liked it.

The highlights I had staying over there at the retreat was crab hunting with a few of my leadership family, playing cards (with people I thought I wouldn't be playing cards with so it made me feel really happy that they wanted to play with me)  the breakout sessions (I love those), the fill bucket letters (these were really helpful to help us get along with each other again, since we're sorta separated with one another), and the FOOD there was pretty good.  The lowlights I had at the retreat was probably staying on the beach too long to the point where I got wet and I didn't go snorkeling that long, but I still love the retreat. The changes that I believe should be applied is we should've been mixed up with periods to get along with each other when we did the year planning, another change would be the supplies we need to bring on the field trip because some of us overloaded their suitcases, another change should be that we should have our phones but a limitation to it like Mr. Ing collects it at the end of the day and we get it when we wake up and during study hall because my parents had concerns why my phone was taken and we would need it for emergencies from our family. In my opinion, I really loved the retreat, we got closer to each other and we did really fun stuff there.

I learned that my group likes to procrastinate at it's finest LOL, but we always get the job done. Sometimes we use our creativity to block us from doing our work (hopefully that makes sense), and they have obstacles that needs to be accomplish to prevent them struggiling in the future. What I learned about the chaperones is that they're really helpful, caring, and is always there when we need them. Shayna, she likes to take charge and makes sure we're fine, she was like our protector there lol. Jolene, she's sooooo nice, and she's able to hold a conversation. Laila, I knew her already from another time but she's very sophisticated, she has really nice outfits LOL, & she helps you when you need help on something. What I learned about Mr. Ing is that he's able to make sure everything is ready, he makes sure we're fine, and he has trust in some of us or maybe all of us now, and he has repsonsibilies that he makes sure he's doing, and he likes to observe what we do.

rainy days

It's been raining for the past few days and I'm loving it lol, I love cold weather. Anyways time for weekly blogssss ! Monday's periods are 6,2,4, &1. Tuesday's periods are 1,3,5, & 6. Wednesday's periods are 2,4,6. Thursday's periods are 3,5,1 and Friday's periods are 4,6,2,3. For this weekly blog I'll talk about each subject and I'll say what we did each day in order. Monday, in English we did a test on our Vocab Wall, elements of story, and definitons for writing then we had CCLM and read about a ghost story, next we did critical reading and the other day we did SUTW w/ the article of Zombies. In Math we organized folders, apply fractions and decimals, and a test review packet. In social studies we did a fill in a blank worksheet(s), learned about "land & sugar", and Ihu Nui IV questions. In AVID we did CCLM and did a definition test, then leptospirosis Cornell notes, then we reviewed our CN notes. In science we learned about living & non-living things, cell theory notes, and CCLM about a packet. In leadership we did talent practice and worked on AR.

Highlight of my week would have to be when Cheana's mom invited me to go to Sushi bay, I refused to go but she insisted that I should so I went. I didn't eat that much since they didn't have a huge variety of options and it was my first time there. After, Cheana needed her leadership retreat snack(s) so we went to costco. She got cereal for her snack and we went around costco trying samples LOL and she found her favorite butter spread.

Lesson learned would have to be to double-check for everything. I was getting the supplies I need for the retreat but I didn't know what I exactly needed so I grabbed whatever I think I needed. Since I was unorganized at that moment, I missed some supplies that I was supposed to get. So my lesson learned of this week is double-check and stay organized, now that I missed some supplies I made a checklist

Zumba blog

I'll be talking about my Zumba dance. The Zumba dance is an excercise routine that helps everyone to get active. Each period in leadership had to pick a song that was chosen by Mr. Ing. My period had Get Me Bodied by Beyoncè, period 3 had Ice Baby, and period 1 had Timber.  My period performed on a Friday. We had to create the choreography together that was about excercising basically.

Highlight of the Zumba assignment would have to be when we practiced dancing because we bonded with each other more and we had to work together. We all practiced, practice makes it perfect. Lowlight would have to be when we first started because we were stuck at a dance move that made us confused. If I were to change something to make it better, it would be to use our time wisely. My period wasted a whole practice time just to see how one dance move would turn out. I would change that because I believe it'll improve our dance coordination, and it'll help us get better and better.

Glo 1: I was a self directed learner because I was able to finish the dance routine on time and was able to perform it correctly
Glo 2: I was a community contributor because when it came to working with a group, I participated in everything.
Glo 3: I was a complex thinker because when there was a problem my period faced, we all fixed it.
Glo 4: I was able to produce quality work because I was able to have a printed out dance routine so that our steps was the same and I kept it somewhere safe so that we can look back at it
Glo 5: I was able to communicate clearly when I shared my ideas, everyone was able to understand it and decided if we should use it or not
Glo 6: I was an effective and ethical user of technology because I was able to work with technology, we used the computer for our music so that we can dance to it and we printed out a dance routine

The grades should be handed out how much each period got participants, my period deserves an A because we had the most which was 20. Period 3 deserves a B because period 1 interfered by preventing some people not to dance. period 1 deserves a C because they cheated and wasn't being fair with the rest of the periods. My period deserves an A because we had the most participants and didn't cheat.

This is the steps to our Zumba dance routine. First we're gonna be clapping to the beat. Next we will be doing high knees for two missions, then we will do shuffle claps, starting by stepping to the right. Next is the lazy monkey, we will be doing this for 16 counts. Then we will be doing swing lock, swing to the right first, for 16 counts. Next is the lipgloss dance, we will start with the right side. Next is high knees again. Then shuffle clap, then lazy monkey, then swing lock, and the lipgloss dance for two times though. We will now be doing stretches. First stretch is cross toe touches. Touching your right foot first. Then we will be doing touch the sky and touch your toes. Starting with touching your toes first. Then we will do shuffle clap again, then lazy monkey, then swing lock and strike a pose for the ending!

weekly bloggggg

Time to talk about another week in my blog. Since it's the last week of the quarter, maybe I'll make this blog different. In my blog, I'll say what I learned throughout the quarter. For AVID, I learned about philosophical chairs, spcratice seminar and why we write reflections. Philosophical chairs is discussion about the text and Socratic seminar is from the text and we write reflections to improve critically thinking, helps review what we learn and helps us become better writers. In math, there's a load of things I learned. I learned how to add with positive and negative numbers, the number line, how to +/- with fractions, how to x/division with decimals., and etc. in science, I learned about IV and DV, hypothesis, scientific method steps, and etc. in social studies, I learned how the islands were unified, economic/social/ and political impact,
Vocab words, and foreigners. In leadership, we did a lot of assignments such as Zumba, welcome social, TV, IDs, music, and everything else that marjority of the things the school is responsible we did. In English, we learned how to write our drafts and add sensory and figurative details and language in our writing. That basically sums up what I did this quarter. My least favorite teacher would be Ms. Liu, LOL she's too "strict" and has high standards. English is boring, I always seem to find a way why I'm sleepy in that class. Math is super fun, Mr. Barayuga keeps us busy and makes us excited for stuff we're gonna learn about him, today was his birthday so happy birthday Mr. Barayuga ! Make the day last. Science, mrs. Akimoto is a fun teacher but we do boring stuff. And leadership, I love leadership cos I get to help with the school and there's always interesting things to do. AVID can sometimes be a headache to me but I find a way to put up with it, good people always make me happy to go there.

Highlight of the week would have to be doing the Breast cancer walk this Saturday. The breast cancer walk was 3 Miles but I ran marjority of the time. I felt really good knowing I could run that long, I wasn't tired like last time I did it. I did the breast cancer walk for a good cause.

Lesson learned would be, strive for success. It would be strive for success because at my old elementary school, Holomua meant "move forward to success" and I want to represent that school for all they done for me. Not only my lesson learn is about Holomua, but it's about me not giving up and to reach my goals to become the person I want to be in the future. I'm making myself a path and following it for my future, realizing there will be obstacles I'll go through and etc.

➊st Quarter Blog☻

This is my very first quarter blog, ayyye. So much things went on this quarter and it went by fast. One of the things that I accomplished this quarter was keeping my grades higher than a C, I got A's and one B. Keeping my grades higher than C was probably difficult for me because there was one point where I got 3 B's and the rest A's, so I struggled but not as much as others. Each week we rotated to a different job such as IDs, Music, and CCTV. I got to experience each one and I would say music was the hardest job I did ? It was the hardest job (I think ?) to me because we would have to watch the music play and make sure to change it to a different song before an ad commercial starts. We would also have to watch our volume of voice because we need to get the announcements out clearly for everyone to understand. One of the exciting things for me that happened this quarter was that I became secretary (nobody ran against me but it still made me happy because I became secretary for 7th grade). I had many responsibilities such as initialing Welcome Social forms to know that the students have PD or have money and handing out yearbook pictures. Since I'm the new 7th grade class secretary, there will be obstacles for me in the future and I'll be having responsibilities I never had before. This first quarter was very interesting I would say, I think a little drama stirred up in leadership such as people disliking each other *cough, cough* smh. Hopefully quarter 2 will be way better than this quarter, let's all pray to Jesus LOL.

There's many different things in intermediate that I didn't expect. In Holomua (my elementary school), we only had one teacher to teach us all the subjects (math, language arts, social studies, science). We also had ONE classroom to be at for the whole quarter and we rotate classrooms every quarter. At ilima, we have to go to multiple classrooms. We have to be in 6 different classrooms, 4 classes Monday, Tuesday, and Friday and 3 on Wednesday and Thursday. My sleeping schedule also changed, I use to wake up at 6 in the morning for Holomua and I leave at 6:50 and it takes me 10 minutes to walk to my elementary school. Now that I go to ilima, I wake up at 5:45-5:50 a.m. to shower then sleep for a few minutes and then leave at 7:00 a.m. for school. Since I have leadership, I have jobs almost everyday and in elementary, I didn't.

My highlight of this quarter would be going to the leadership reunion. The leadership reunion gave us an oppurtunity to get to know the leadership generation more and how it changed over the years. We also bonded with one another as the day went by, I really enjoyed seeing some people that were familiar to me.

This whole quarter taught me a lesson to be the person who actually does their work and finishes it on time, don't be a procrastinator anymore because whatever you missed builds up more and more. You have to give all your effort and commitment into your work. You don't just get a good grade automatically for the things you turn in, you have to earn it like everyone else which means trying your best. Go beyond what you think you can do.
