Time to talk about another week in my blog. Since it's the last week of the quarter, maybe I'll make this blog different. In my blog, I'll say what I learned throughout the quarter. For AVID, I learned about philosophical chairs, spcratice seminar and why we write reflections. Philosophical chairs is discussion about the text and Socratic seminar is from the text and we write reflections to improve critically thinking, helps review what we learn and helps us become better writers. In math, there's a load of things I learned. I learned how to add with positive and negative numbers, the number line, how to +/- with fractions, how to x/division with decimals., and etc. in science, I learned about IV and DV, hypothesis, scientific method steps, and etc. in social studies, I learned how the islands were unified, economic/social/ and political impact,
Vocab words, and foreigners. In leadership, we did a lot of assignments such as Zumba, welcome social, TV, IDs, music, and everything else that marjority of the things the school is responsible we did. In English, we learned how to write our drafts and add sensory and figurative details and language in our writing. That basically sums up what I did this quarter. My least favorite teacher would be Ms. Liu, LOL she's too "strict" and has high standards. English is boring, I always seem to find a way why I'm sleepy in that class. Math is super fun, Mr. Barayuga keeps us busy and makes us excited for stuff we're gonna learn about him, today was his birthday so happy birthday Mr. Barayuga ! Make the day last. Science, mrs. Akimoto is a fun teacher but we do boring stuff. And leadership, I love leadership cos I get to help with the school and there's always interesting things to do. AVID can sometimes be a headache to me but I find a way to put up with it, good people always make me happy to go there.
Highlight of the week would have to be doing the Breast cancer walk this Saturday. The breast cancer walk was 3 Miles but I ran marjority of the time. I felt really good knowing I could run that long, I wasn't tired like last time I did it. I did the breast cancer walk for a good cause.
Lesson learned would be, strive for success. It would be strive for success because at my old elementary school, Holomua meant "move forward to success" and I want to represent that school for all they done for me. Not only my lesson learn is about Holomua, but it's about me not giving up and to reach my goals to become the person I want to be in the future. I'm making myself a path and following it for my future, realizing there will be obstacles I'll go through and etc.
